After spending a decade in other creative industries including music production, animation, graphic design and marketing, we got bored and decided to use our talents for something that we were passionate about.
Big Wave Entertainment is the passion project of two best friends who can’t imagine doing anything else with their lives.
There are a lot of anime and manga products that have never made their way to the US. We really enjoy the idea of bringing special-edition vinyl soundtracks, previously untranslated manga, and even new animated series to the west. If we are passionate about it, we want to shout it from the rooftops and share it with you!
For the first few years we existed, we kept it a secret as we tried our best to build healthy relationships with Japanese companies. That part took a lot longer than we thought, but we are excited to finally start sharing the fruits of our labor with you.
